I had just compiled and installed
libc locally into my home directory. Sadly, after this, virtually every basic utility like
xz failed to function.
The error message prompted up when executing
ls: error while loading shared libraries: __vdso_time: invalid mode for dlopen(): Invalid argument
After doing some research on Google, it appeared to me that I have to recompile and relink these basic tools to solve the problem, which seems a bit too tricky. Therefore, I decided to simply removed the
libc library just installed.
How do I remove the locally install version of
~/include? I had already installed numerous libraries into
~/lib before installing
libc, which added another tons of files. As a result, it's all mixed up now.
I think I could probably solve this by conditionally removing the files based on the last modified time. Is there any cleaner solution?
