I am updating files for directory A to directory B like this:
rsync -vcru --delete /directoryA/ directoryB
Can I preserve the ownerships and permissions of the (existing) target files?
directoryB is a mounted and shared Windows volume. Files and subdirectories in directoryA need special owners and permissions which get overwritten, each time I update with rsync. I can't set those permittions on the sources either (Windows, not supported)
