I am using a RPi for a petcam. The camera is accessible at a certain IP:port in the local network, and somewhere in the local network I have a web server running with nginx that embeds this video.
All works nicely when you access the web from the local network, but since the IP:port is hardwritten, when you access the web server from the internet I assume that whatever device I'm using is trying to access the IP:port on "their" local network, where there is obviously nothing, and the video does not appear.
I would like the video to be accessible from anywhere, and for that I assume I need to use a reverse proxy or port forwarding utilities of nginx, but I don't know where to start or what to look for, since I've never used one before.
