I run kali on VMWare and I installed it with 20GB hard disk. Now I want to expand the hard disk so from settings, I expanded it to 30GB but, it is shown as free space not added to my "/" partition. Can anyone tell how can I do that?

  • What is the output of fdisk -l and of df -h run as root on this system?

  • Too little information, what steps did you take to a) partition the drive b) enlarge a partition c) grow the filesystem? Edit your question to include this information. Can't solve a problem without knowing what it is.
