I am trying to install an Arch based distribution, but it seems it doesn't find the device. This is the exact output:

You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished
sh:can't access tty: job control turned off

Could anyone help me to fix this? I really want to run this distro on the machine.

  • which motherboard? – Andra Feb 13 at 20:33
  • AMD A9 2(4 threads) cores and the GPU is Radeon Graphics. It's a bit old, but runs well on Linux. – alincocio Feb 13 at 22:15
  • first, did you try all USB ports? It could smth to do with usb2.0/3.0. second, you can try to disable iommu in bios and add a parameter iommu=soft when running liveusb. It's a hint from some not-English forum. – Andra Feb 14 at 18:32
  • Yeah, I actually tried all the usb ports, all the Arcolinux distros don't work and show the exact same output. Also, Arch works with no problmes and other Arch based distributions with no problem. Anyway I will try the second option of yours. – alincocio Feb 15 at 19:34
