I am using pop-os on my laptop.

But the laptop fan works a lot and the laptop gets hot.

I checked everything with 'top' and there was no additional program in the background that consumed the cpu.

I am using nvidia 455.38 graphics.

All my graphic specifications are attached.

system = LENOVO Lenovo ideapad 320-15IKB 80XL
graphic : NVIDIA Corporation GM108M [GeForce 920MX] / GeForce 920MX/PCIe/SSE2
processor: Intel® Core™ i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz × 4

please guide me.

  • Possibly a problem with this where your GPU is on constantly. Had a similar problem on 'buntu. Maybe some help here. – xenoid Jan 26 at 21:27
  • Did you check for BIOS updates from Lenovo ? Are the fan exhausts clean ? – user4089 Jan 27 at 8:02
