I want to remove a few words from a pdf. I have read this post How to view and edit the code of a PDF file and used qpdf to disable object streams and uncompress data with

qpdf --stream-data=uncompress --qdf --object-streams=disable file.pdf out.pdf

I expected to find clear text in the output file but instead in stream sections I have things like that :

r^@Z^EC^@Z^G^@n

Since the file is read correctly by pdf viewers there must be a way to decode it but I can't find the right options.

pdfinfo file.pdf outputs :

Producer: iText 2.0.8 (by lowagie.com)
Encrypted: no
Optimized: no
PDF version: 1.4

I know I could use some tools like pdfedit but I'd like to be able to edit a pdf in command line.

Thanks
