I am using Artix Linux, with default TTY login and runit as the init system. The "problem" is that I get some messages related to the wifi connection before I even login.
It reads:
Successfully initialized wpa_supplicant
wlp2s0: CTRL-EVENT-REGDOM-CHANGE init=BEACON_HINT type=UNKNOWN
wlp2s0: SME: Trying to authenticate with MAC-ADDRESS (SSID='WIFI-NAME' freq=WIFI-FREQUENCY)

wlp2s0: CTRL-EVENT-CONNECTED - Connection to MAC-ADDRESS completed [id=0 id_str=]
wlp2s0: CTRL-EVENT-SIGNAL-CHANGE above=1 signal=-34 noise=-54 txrate=1000
Wifi card:
02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32)
Subsystem: Dell Device 0310
Kernel driver in use: ath10k_pci
Kernel modules: ath10k_pci
These messages are ok, but are just inconvenient. Can I suppress these?
Notes:
- I am not using the
linux-firmware
package, because it did not work for me. I'm using this one instead. - It tries to connect to three different MAC addresses with the same SSID. This is normal for my wifi set-up.
- These messages do not appear in
dmesg
.
