I installed i3 on my laptop running debian 10, and it does not redraw the screen unless I change tty (using Ctrl+Alt+f3) and back again.

My laptop is a HP with an AMD A9-9420 RADEON R5 CPU and kernel version 4.19.0-9-amd64.

I installed i3 via apt-get, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Everything works in the background (opening a terminal, running commands etc.) but the screen does only update (once) after I change to another tty. I also installed the latest firmware and drivers last week.

Logfile can be found here: https://controlc.com/750c7fa1

EDIT: I should also note that the cursor updates correctly
