I was tasked with running a lab with netkit, http://wiki.netkit.org/man/man7/netkit.7.html for those interested. It creates a virtual machine meant to simulate a network connection. I have the install set up on unbuntu 20.14 and have attempted to run it multiple times. But it comes with the error Xterm: display not set.
I am running windows 10, and have shut off HyperV, have Xforwarding = yes, tried reseting the configs, and a few other config setting ideas given. But none to avail. Most other students in my class had reported the same issue and said they used another computer. I don't have another computer, and due to covid, can't access one from my school. Are there any ideas what might be stopping Xterm from displaying?
