I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop with Intel Graphics iGPU and NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti dGPU running POP!_OS 19.10. When I first installed the system, back at version 19.04, I could use both integrated and external display when on the iGPU, though I rarely used the iGPU.

I recently booted the system with the Integrated Graphics and wasn't able to get both monitors to work, with the external monitor not even being recognized by the system. Rebooting the system or disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable were to no avail.

Has anyone went through the same problem? How were you able to solve it?

Notes:

I use the NVidia proprietary drivers, since they handle the best performance for games. I can post the return from xrandr, but It only shows the integrated display (when using the iGPU).

On a side note: has anyone been able to get Hybrid Graphics to work with both monitors?
