I've been facing a problem with bind9 over Ubuntu lts 16.04

Here is the output of service bind9 reload

Job for bind9.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status bind9.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

Here is the output of status bind9.service or systemctl status bind9.service

Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bind9.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)

Nothing really special with journalctl -xe

And here is the output of journalctl | grep bind9

I checked all bind9 config and nothing special because I've 2 dedicated servers with the same config.

All help is appreciated.

  • DId you try with other bind versions? How many zones do you have? Did you check bind logfiles and increase their verbosity? – Patrick Mevzek Mar 9 at 6:19
