I'd like to create an extra execution environment between the OS and the hardware to test something, so I decided to create a small linux environment which only runs a single VM with the primary OS under it.

I'm trying to passthrough as much hardware as possible (At the very least PCI and USB), since I'm not going to be using it in the host, and my host won't have a network stack (I'm ok with a serial port).

Also, I'd like to support hardware which is not supported by my host, and thus I'd like to avoid drivers for all devices in the host.

Is what I'm trying to do feasible? I'm willing to compile Linux/QEMU or whatever is needed.
