Is it possible to use veracrypt to encrypt the persistence partition instead of luks. I know it would involve a lot of decompiling and recompiling but it sounds like a fun project just don't know where to start.

  • Linux cryptsetup now supports a VeraCrypt-compatible TCRYPT extension. If you can accept that instead of the actual VeraCrypt program, that might make the integration process much smoother, as you'd "only" need to add the extension to Kali if it does not already exist, and then integrate it to the Kali persistence infrastructure, basically changing LUKS-specific configuration and options to TCRYPT-specific ones. And then you'd still need actual VeraCrypt in the partition creation process. – telcoM Jan 3 at 11:16
