I have some simulation files on a cluster. When I type scp and the name of the files followed by * to copy all of them on my local machine, it copies only some files. If I type the name of the files by hand then it copies all the desired files on my local machine. Moreover, going ls I don't see some files, but they actually exist because copying them by hand typing the full name of the file works. How ca I fix the problem in order to copy all the files without having to write them one by one by hand?

Please edit your question to show the actual scp commands which you're running, and some examples of the filenames which are being copied and the filenames which aren't being copied. It would be helpful to include ls -l output for the files in question. – Kenster Jul 11 at 15:58
