Does anyone know if it is possible to install and run Gazebo on a machine using the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Distribution?

The company I am working at doesn't allow users to install ubuntu typically so it would be very useful to know if Gazebo can run on Red Hat enterprise.

Thanks!

  • Red Hat Developer Stephen Kitt unix.stackexchange.com/users/86440/stephen-kitt advises not. It is, however, available in Fedora 30 apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/gazebo – K7AAY Jun 18 at 20:16
  • Umm I never said it isn’t possible to install Gazebo on RHEL, I only said the Fedora instructions don’t apply because Gazebo packages aren’t available in RHEL. There shouldn’t be any issue building Gazebo from source on RHEL. – Stephen Kitt Jun 18 at 20:59
  • Also note that while I work for Red Hat, I don’t speak for Red Hat, and I don’t work on RHEL. (I’m not saying you claimed this, just making sure other readers understand this.) – Stephen Kitt Jun 18 at 21:05
  • This is all very useful info. Thank you! – Daniel Vedova Jun 21 at 16:43
