For a directory containg .txt, .py, .xyz and other plain ASCII files, I know that a complete file listing ls *.* may be constrained to display either one file type or a groups of file types (e.g., ls *.py *.txt). With the exclusion of a specific file showcased here, I was wondering if there were a handy complementary file search to this to list all files which are not a .txt. If it were just a string, a RE similar to a [^.txt] could exclude this pattern...
