As per the above output, overlay2 filesystem is used to store docker images.

1) Does filesystem type(overlay2) picked based on ubuntu OS version & docker engine version used? instead of aufs or btrfs...

2) What is backing file system used for?

3) What does insecure registries mean? Insecure Registries: 127.0.0.0/8
