I am using Ubuntu to run an amazon webpage, the page is trying to load a java program and it fails when it tries to open. This opens perfectly in Chrome on Windows but we are looking to go Linux. the error I am getting is: "net.sourceforge.jnlp.LaunchException: The resource from https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com:443/images/G/01/tradein/applets does not match the location in Application-Library-Allowable-Codebase Attribute *.amazon.com "

I have searched java_home(/usr/java/) /jre1.8.0_211-amd64/ and have found nothing. I went to /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-amd64/lib/security and still have not found anything.

Java -version openjdk version "11.0.3" 2019-04-16 OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 11.0.3+7-Ubuntu-1ubuntu219.04.1) OpenJDK 64p-Bit Server VM (build 11.0.3+7-Ubuntu-1ubuntu219.04.1, mixed mode, shearing)

Linux - Ubuntu version Ubuntu 19.04 (Disco Dingo)

  • Found a work-a-round. Adding (Deployment.Manifest.Attributes.Check=NONE) to ~/.config/icedtea-web/deployment.properties has seemed to work. – JimmyDan May 28 at 14:53
