I have a bash script (/bin/foo) where I export PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID and I can run sqlplus (Oracle SQL client) from the script, but when I try to run it like this

sudo -u nobody /bin/foo

I get

sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: libsqlplus.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Is there a way to solve this?

  • The file libsqlplus.so can't be read by user nobody. You should rather create a new user instead of abusing nobody. – Panki May 6 at 8:53
