I noticed something interesting and strange in nautilus sorting method. Having a bunch of file named "foo01" to "foo10" plus another one named "foo011", ls returns them in alphabetical order, namely foo01, foo011, foo02, ... But nautilus displays them in the order foo01, foo02, ... foo10, foo011; effectively treating "011" the same as "11".

Now say I have a file foo1X, it would be displayed between foo01 and foo02, where it does not belong. There doesn't seem to be any option to change that, and I am wondering what causes that and what can be made to change this behaviour.

I am on fedora 26 and gnome 3.24.2.
