I mount a *.img file, and want to copy some new files into it. But there is not enough space for me to place new files. Can I specify more size space while I use mount.

./Image: No space left on device
sudo df -h ./mnt
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/loop0 26M 21M 5.6M 79% ./mnt

As above, the available space after mount is 5.6M, I want more space.

  • While you can probably enlarge the file and then resizefs the file system on it, at 26MB it might be faster and easier to simply create a new, larger, image file and rsync everything to the new image? – Ulrich Schwarz Apr 25 at 4:04
