I have a Debian 9 Stretch OS running.  Last night when I shut it down the Wi-Fi was working perfectly.  Today I turned my laptop on and it's not showing any Wi-Fi, and I cannot enable Wi-Fi.  Here is my iwconfig result;

wlp8s0    IEEE 802.11  ESSID:off/any
          Mode:Managed  Access Point: Not-Associated   Tx-Power=off
          Retry short limit:7   RTS thr=2347 B   Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:off
          Power Management:on

So I tried ifup wlp8s0 also tried multiple times systemctl restart NetworkManager but it seems not working.

It's not about drivers or networking because I can run my eth0 perfectly.  How can I diagnose this issue?  I think it's about some config files.

  • Your last paragraph says ‘‘I am sure Wi-Fi is running perfect when I turn my computer off.’’  Is there a typo?  I don’t understand what you’re saying. – G-Man Mar 26 at 0:53
  • No. I am sure wifi is working when i turn my computer off last night. When i turn my computer on today, wifi seems to be not working. Surely something happend i am trying to understand... Are you gonna help @G-Man ? – Baran Arda Mar 26 at 1:02
