Setup

  • I have a dual boot fedora 29 & windows 10 setup.
  • The system is connected to a network switch via an ethernet cable.
  • The network switch is configured to serve a management web-ui on the static IP 192.168.1.1.

Problem

I can access the switch's admin panel in windows by setting the ip of the interface as 192.168.1.2, and by just opening 192.168.1.1 from a browser. If I do a similar thing in fedora using NetworkManager, I can not access the interface.

On the other hand, I can perfectly use the network configuration provided by my ISP and access the internet on both OSes.

I am not sure how to proceed understanding this issue.
