Running KALI under WSL. I wanted to debug some perl script but when invoking perl -d was getting something like "perl5db.pl missing" err. After that, not in order to solve that problem but in scope of something else i did:

apt-get install perl-doc
apt-get install make
apt-get update
apt-get install gcc
apt-get install git

Now the perl debugger works. Two questions: 1. How could have I get to know what (which package) was missing in the first place 2. How can I know what apparently installed it
