I know this kind of question is already asked before, but none of those solution worked for me, i am trying to resolve this from last two days but with no success.

Problem: -

When i start may HP Laptop i can not see dual boot option for choosing desired operation system to login, the system goes directly to windows 10.

  1. I recently installed centOS 7 alongside windows.
  2. I see two partition in windows which is used by centOS as "RAW".(one of those is used by / partition of centOS, other maybe one of the other partition which i created for installation of centOS.
  3. I have created following partitions in centOS

    • /
    • /swap
    • /boot
    • /boot/efi

I have centOS in boot order menu (pressing f9 during start up) and i am able to use centOS as well from there.

But when i go to the BIOS utility (f10 during startup) ,i can not see the entry of centOS to change the boot order.

Also, i have :

  1. disabled secure boot
  2. disable legacy support (tested by enabling this mode, still issue didn't resolved)
  3. disabled fast startup

Following are those things which i tried and none of them worked

  1. bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\centos\grubx64.efi
  2. grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
  3. yum update

What can i do so that i can get the option to choose OS be it Windows or centOS while startup ?
