I have access to two Internet connections from two different plans: ADSL and 4G LTE. In Xubuntu, I can chose a specific connection using the network manager applet, but then the one that is chosen is used by all applications in the computer.

Instead, I would like to use both at the same time, but independently (so I don't want to bond them). For example, I would like to use the ADSL connection for Firefox and Thunderbird, and the 4G LTE plan for my bash scripts.

Is there a way to achieve this?
