I'm adding a channel to a multi-master mysql slave. In the past, the procedure has been: import new db from a mysqldump, stop slave, record value of gtid_purged, reset master, manually set gtid_purged with old value plus value from dump of the db for the new channel, start slave. However, the value of gtid_purged is now longer than 1024 characters, and show global variables like 'GTID_PURGED'; does not display the full value, so I am very reluctant to execute reset master since I can very likely not properly reset the value of gtid_purged and I'll have to re-import some of the channels from a mysql dump.

How can I reliably add a new channel if I cannot see the full current value of GTID_PURGED?
