After Dropbox recently dropped support for most linux distribution, I am trying to find an alternative way to synchronize my dropbox folder on one of my machines that do not have Ubuntu.

I read that using rclone, I can copy files from and to Dropbox. But how do I replicate the automatic syncing of files that Dropbox has? In particular, rclone doesn't seem to work for 2-way synchronization (where the file might have changed locally or remotely).

  • You could sync your machines directly without a central server/company. Try Syncthing. – Teresa e Junior Jan 14 at 21:20
