I have been googling for a while already looking for a way to run bash script when monitor is going into power save mode. I found only on askubuntu a dirty script that query xset in loop and check for string "Monitor is On" in xset output . Is there a better solution than this?

I'm setting up a kiosk on Debian 9, openbox and chromium :)
