I want to use and learn SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer).

How do I install SDL on Ubuntu and how to use it in Codeblocks?

Requests for learning materials (tutorials, how-tos etc.) are off topic for this site. – Haxiel Dec 29 '18 at 14:46

This isn’t a request for learning materials. – Stephen Kitt Dec 29 '18 at 15:25
  • What is SDL in this context? – icarus Dec 29 '18 at 18:10

@icarus, Simple DirectMedia Layer is a cross-platform development library designed to provide low level access to audio, keyboard, mouse, joystick, and graphics hardware via OpenGL and Direct3D. – Karol Dec 29 '18 at 20:00
  • You'll need to install the libsdl-dev packages as appropriate (ie, libsdl1.2-dev or libsdl2-dev as well as any of the extension packages like the -net or -mixer or whatever you need) and then simply reference the header files as appropriate in your IDE of choice. – ivanivan Dec 29 '18 at 21:34
