First thing what is the purpose of coredumpctl? To copy the coredump file using coredumpctl ? If yes I am trying to do the following:

coredumpctl list
TIME PID UID GID SIG PRESENT EXE
Tue 2018-12-18 19:23:59 UTC 14274 0 0 11 /test

Then,

coredumpctl dump 14274 --output test.14274
           PID: 14274 (test)
           UID: 0 (root)
           GID: 0 (root)
        Signal: 11 (SEGV)
Timestamp: Tue 2018-12-18 19:23:58 UTC (2 days ago)
  Command Line: /test
    Executable: /test
 Control Group: /kubepods.slice/kubepods-besteffort.slice/kubepods-besteffort-pod05700a7d_02e6_11e9_af3c_fa163e92cb61.slice/docker-f95ef68fbf965e3d3328fc284187f0199dffb2201687686bb12be3bb616dc623.scope

      Hostname: hostname
Message: Process 14274 (test_core) of user 0 dumped core.

But the size is 0:

ls -lrt test.14274
-rw-rw-r--. 1 cloud-user cloud-user 0 Dec 20 20:34 test.14274

Why size is zero even when the coredump file that got generated is not of size 0?

I tried with sudo as well(same result):

$sudo su
$ coredumpctl dump 14274 --output test.14274
           PID: 14274 (test)
           UID: 0 (root)
