This is easy for me with Gnome Subtitles (gnome-subtitles):

  • selecting a subtitle line from the beginning that corresponds to the present video frame, and going to Timing>Synchronize>Add, adding a sync point, then selecting Close,
  • doing the same at the end but selecting Apply
  • saving the subtitle

Subtitle Composer (subtitlecomposer) is not only more complex (and has some advantages that I like - fullscreen video, much better video seeking), but has a Qt GUI, and I am in LXQT, so I would prefer to use it instead of Gnome Subtitles.

Only, I do not know what are the similar steps that would reproduce those actions described above.

Are there such simple steps available?
