My phone (only MTP data access) has a MicroSD card inserted into it

Now, I wish to save a ddrescue disk image directly onto it while the phone is connected to the PC.
That disk is not damaged at all, I just use gddrescue to see the statistics such as speed in real time.

I can I directly output data onto MTP storage?

  • MTP by design only handles files. Do I understand correctly that you just want to put a large file on it? Here are some ways to do MTP from the commandline. You won't be able to accurately measure speed if you access it via a mountpoint. – dirkt Sep 3 '18 at 7:09
