I am continuously seeing
root in the output of the
w command on a virtual machine hosted on the cloud. I have restarted the machine several times and even tried sending CtrlAltDel from the OpenNebula control panel, but I still see this when I type
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT root ttyS0 - 12:33 21.00s 0.03s 0.02s -bash paropunam pts/0 IP_REMOVED 12:59 0.00s 0.09s 0.03s w
Why is that happening and how can I determine the root of the problem? Is this even a 'problem'?
I am using
Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.15.0-30-generic x86_64).
UPDATE (according to comment)
I get this from
PID TTY TIME CMD 3992 pts/0 00:00:00 bash
ps -Flww -p 3992 gives me this:
F S UID PID PPID C PRI NI ADDR SZ WCHAN RSS PSR STIME TTY TIME CMD 0 S paropunam 3992 3940 0 80 0 - 5790 wait 5172 88 12:33 pts/0 00:00:00 -bash
