I have installed fedora 26 in my laptop with custom partition. /boot 300MB /home 175GB /data 350GB swap 16 GB Then i tried to install ubuntu 16 as dual boot. In partiotion selected the "install alongside fedora 26". The installation went fine. After installation the grub shows only Fedora 26. But in BIOS bootloader it shows ubuntu and fedora. I have disabled the legacy boot already.

While installing ubuntu it asked about formatting two partitions which is swap created in fedora and the freespace in the disk. How to add ubuntu in boot loader? How to manually partition ubuntu? Do i need to set the /boot for ununtu?

  • How did you configure the partitions for Ubuntu? – Raman Sailopal Oct 20 '17 at 8:00
  • just selected the option "install alongside fedora26" – harilalkm Oct 20 '17 at 8:13
  • You could with interrogating the partition table i.e. through fdisk and reporting the results. – Raman Sailopal Oct 20 '17 at 11:38
