I'm using Manjaro Linux, and I have CentOS 7 installed in VirtualBox. When I try to install VirtualBox Guest Additions, I get the following error.

CentOS 7 Guest Additions Error

The the content of /var/log/VBoxGuestAdditions.log follows.

The content of /var/log/vboxadd-install.log follows.

  • Insert Guest Addition CD Image. Open a terminal> CD into: /media/youruser/ following the ISO directory. Type sudo ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run – nicoX Oct 19 '17 at 20:32

Besides installing the host module in manjaro, and adding the manjaro user which is running the vbox to the groups both explained here

It seems that you need to install the development tools in the VM's CentOS. According to your screenshot - you don't have gcc installed. To do that run

sudo yum groupinstall 'Development Tools'

Now you should be able to compile the guest addons in CentOS.
