I've got an old laptop with a fresh arch linux installation. I was able to connect my wpa2-protected router when installing (archiso-mode), but when I ejected the .iso and booted to Arch, netctl and network-manager didn't work anymore. I plugged in an ethernet cable and managed to get connection work with it. Howewer, I want to use my wifi-card. I installed wicd, but it hung on validating authentication. I'm sure I use the correct passphrase. My wifi-card is b43 I have installed the drivers using b43-fwcutter. I use gnome and its integrated network manager doesn't work, either.
