On Ubuntu Machine, Installed OpenSSL Version is :

Used Command : openssl version

OpenSSL 1.1.0e 16 Feb 2017

But, MongoDB Version Shows OpenSSL Version as :

Used Command : mongod --version

db version v3.4.2
git version: 3f76e40c105fc223b3e5aac3e20dcd026b83b38b
OpenSSL version: OpenSSL 1.0.1f 6 Jan 2014

Why Both Versions are different ?

Output of ldd /usr/bin/mongod is as follows :

Could be statically linked, or you could have two library versions installed. Running ldd on the mongo binary should offer some clues – jordanm Feb 28 '17 at 7:43
  • @jordanm How should I run ldd on Mongodb ? – LuFFy Feb 28 '17 at 7:47
  • ldd /path/to/mongod – jordanm Feb 28 '17 at 7:58
