I want to print a list of all the files I own, so I use the find command, but it is not working properly, it misses some files, so I tried to find those specific files.
In my home folder (say,
/us/myuser) I've got a file named
test.gz, owned by me.
When I run
find -L . -user myuser -name "test.gz"
It returns the file name properly.
But when I run instead:
find -L .. -user myuser -name "test.gz"
find -L / -user myuser -name "test.gz"
It finds nothing at all.
Does anybody know what can be happening?
I also tried to remove the
-L option, and the result is the same.
