The problem appears to be a syntactical error in your apache configuration files. Take a look at your error log (typically /var/log/httpd/error_log or /var/log/apache2/error_log for more information. Correct the error, and your apache server is likely to start.

You can verify your configuration file syntax using:

apachectl configtest

From https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/programs/apachectl.html:

configtest
Run a configuration file syntax test. It parses the configuration files and either reports Syntax Ok or detailed information about the particular syntax error. This is equivalent to apachectl -t.
