I know it's been beat to death, but I'm at my wits end with this. I've followed all the entries that I can take. I'm trying to build this program on Debian 8.6. I added the blank line where I grep the config.log file. Here is the path and output from the configuration.

jack@Kilo:~/mnt/dev-test/avarice-2.13$ echo $PATH

I found the error that said the g++ compiler works -> no. I use eclipse and it and the Arduino and command line compile and link g++ code. So..

Thanks for whatever anyone can do for me. I hope I've included enough information.

    What does as -V < /dev/null output? – Stephen Kitt Jan 19 '17 at 18:04

Resolved by re installing binutils. It appears that the AVR tool chain was the default and reinstalling binutils fixed up the problem. Don't know about my avr stuff... :)

Thanks
