  • what is "But doesn't work!"? – Jakuje Mar 6 '16 at 18:56
  • The command line doesn't install readahead – John Snowden Mar 6 '16 at 18:57
  • and what does it on your machine? – Jakuje Mar 6 '16 at 18:58
  • No package readahead-fedora available. – John Snowden Mar 6 '16 at 19:02
  • so are you trying to install readahead or readahead-fedora? – Jakuje Mar 6 '16 at 19:02

The last Ubuntu version having readahead-fedora was 15.04, according to ubuntu.packages.

Ubuntu 15.10 came up with systemd which changed the boot process so readahead-fedora is no longer applicable.

  • @garethTheRed Sure. Thank you for the note. Fixed now. – Jakuje Mar 6 '16 at 19:46
