I often copy-paste text from pdfs into other applications, and wish there was an easy offline way of editing the text's characteristics. For example, this website removes line breaks, while this website removes capitalization. I want to create a tool that allows me to paste text into it and change the text like those two websites.

Is there any GUI program that can do these things already? I know I can do something similar in LibreOffice Writer, but it's a bit more tedious (especially for line breaks). If not, how can I go about creating a simple utility that does this? I know there are some questions on here that have commands I can enter into the terminal, but those are for entire files and not exactly what I'm looking for. Maybe I can embed those commands into the program but as I don't have much coding experience, any tips, advice, or pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated!
