I have tried to install kali linux on my pc like a thousand times (10 times really) without success. I have a HP 15 laptop, 4GB RAM, 2.16ghz, 500GB HDD with Intel Pentium processor. The installation goes well till the part where GRUB is installed and it cannot find Windows in the bootloader. I have tried installing different versions of Windows but all are not detected by GRUB.

I would like to dual boot Windows with Kali Linux.

Kali linux isn't really a good distro to dual boot in to. It's better off running in a VM – cutrightjm Nov 10 '15 at 4:56
  • I think you are installling Kali Linux in legacy boot mode while windows is installed in UEFI mode. am i right? – user137124 Nov 10 '15 at 4:59
  • Ummm right @user137124 ..... somehow my kali installation does not support UEFI mode – Peter Bor Nov 10 '15 at 5:28
  • @ekaj running kali linux in a VM limits its full potential... works well though – Peter Bor Nov 10 '15 at 5:29
