This question already has an answer here:

For example,

Where are your test specs located? (./test/specs/**/*.js)

Will that descend in all subdirectories under ./test/specs/, recursively?

What authoritative source discusses this wildcard expansion?

In the bash man page, I found this bit which seems to contain a typo:

If set, the pattern ** used in a pathname expansion context will match a files and zero or more directories and subdirectories. If the pattern is followed by a /, only directories and subdirectories match.

"match a files"? Really? After 26 years since bash was written?
