How to install Cuda Toolkit 7.0 or 8 on Debian 8?
I know that Debian 8 comes with the option to download and install CUDA Toolkit 6.0 using
apt-get install nvidia-cuda-toolkit, but how do you do this for CUDA toolkit version 7.0 or 8?
I tried installing using the Ubuntu installers, as described below:
sudo wget http://developer.download.nvidia.com/compute/cuda/repos/ubuntu1404/x86_64/cuda-repo-ubuntu1404_7.0-28_amd64.deb dpkg -i cuda-repo-ubuntu1404_7.0-28_amd64.deb sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install -y cuda
However it did not work and the following message was returned:

This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming.
