How do I make a Linux distro based off of my favorite Linux Distro? I am aware of Linux From Scratch, but there seems like there's so much involved just to create a distro based off of something that's already written for you.

I read (most of) the PDF fil from Linux to Scratch and still had no idea where to start.

I am proficient in C#, C++, Vala (A language used to write apps for Elementary OS). I also do pretty well in other languages like C, VB (I dislike VB).

  • Nope. If you bothered to read that question's answer and my question, you'd know why this isn't a dupe. – uSeRnAmEhAhAhAhAhA Nov 17 '13 at 18:10
  • @goldilocks Seen that. Please reead the question. – uSeRnAmEhAhAhAhAhA Nov 17 '13 at 18:13
  • You need to refine or clarify your question. If the question ends up closed (it will as is) and you edit it, you can flag it for re-opening. – goldilocks Nov 17 '13 at 18:13
  • By which I mean, explain clearly how this is not a dupe. It's not enough to just say it isn't. – goldilocks Nov 17 '13 at 18:16
