comment How can I make my primary DNS take priority over other servers?
@garethTheRed It most certainly does (I just omitted that because I thought it was what you wanted). The question is, where is network manager getting these 172.20 addresses from? They're in the private spaces, and really slow down my resolution :(

I disabled the secondary and ternary DNS servers in my DHCP and got a strange result. DNS lookup took a second when only the Primary was available. Again, when I change nslookup to talk to the Primary directly it's 2ms.

comment How do I fix btrfs?
I must reward for providing an answer, although I have no idea if it's valid - I've since moved away from btrfs, since I have simple needs (reliability, and need to be able to cram as much media on a disk as possible)

comment File system for an SSD drive
I dunno - this seems like a lot of continued FUD about "write endurance". Even the most consumery drives will put up with at least 6 months of continuous writing of large data (SSD's are slow to write small changes). i.e. if it's a corporate file server, be concerned (tweak and get a good SSD). If it's a single user PC, then you'll want to replace your SSD in 5 years anyhow. That said, turning off atime etc will increase your performance (more over time)

Awesome - Thanks! I corrected the off-by-one errors ($1 refers to MediaBox: - at least it did for me... Looking at pdfinfo, I'm interested why you chose MediaBox instead of Page size...
