comment Kali Linux wifi issue
It seems like the make command failed, .i.e. you failed to successfully build the kernel module. You need to show use the output of the make command so we can advise you how to fix that problem.

comment Recursively lowercase, replace space and remove invalid characters on linux FS
One way is use the find utility to recursively find all the files and exec a shell script to modify each file name as necessary.

comment Which one works faster - regular operators (such as <,>,=) or using (-lt, -gt, -eq)? and why?
It depends on your shell and whether the test operators are builtins or not

comment Disassemble a RAID 1 arragement without removing/reinstalling the system
Looking at the fdisk output you provided, there is only one partition marked fd. So I do not think RAID 1 is set up and running on your system.

comment How to delete remaining files of removed user?
The above command just does a find of files that have no valid user or group owners. STDERR messages are sent to /dev/null

comment Bash cannot see PATH update
I may be wrong but I seem to recall that ENV_PATH in /etc/login.defs is now obsolete and ignored.

comment GRUB-EFI installation fails while installing Kali Linux in external hard disk
The UEFI specification is not "loose at best". Like many specifications developed by industry groups, it is deliberately silent on certain issues. The Tianocore reference implementation provides a TUI common interface.

comment Avoid bloating file size when removing OCRed text from a pdf file?
Have you tried setting TMPDIR to somewhere with enough space? TMPDIR is the canonical Unix environment variable that should be used to specify a temporary directory for scratch space.

Sorry, I meant to say - why install rEFInd which is a boot manager when UEFI implementations typically also come with a boot manager?

You claimed UEFI was your bootloader - yet you installed rEFInd which is also a bootloader. Why?

comment Identical MAC address on two different VM, yet I have internet connectivity
@Gilles. You are wrong. Two VMs using the same virtualization software on the same host can have different Ethernet links. Look at VMware Workstation Virtual Network Editor for an example.

comment Where are zsh and mksh incompatible with bash?
@DanL4096. Passing variables to shell scripts that then do not do sufficient sanity checking on the variables is no reason to throw out POSIX. The problem lies with the person that wrote the shell script in the first place.

comment Down single connection
By design, the only reliable way is to either terminate the process that opened the port or somehow get the process that opened the port to close the port.

comment I am trying to find a better/easier way to count alphabetic characters in a file or shell variable
@HalosGhost. I disagree. Unless asked by the OP, a concise reply is perfectly acceptable.
